Mission Complete!

My goal when I started this blog at the beginning of the school year was to blog about our homeschool journey
 for a school year
so that I could, in some way, encourage or help others.

Our school year is over and I blogged about it and our life for the year.
Mission Complete!
The school year culminated with school pictures of the kids.  I haven't done that for a few years and I was so excited to get that accomplished this year too.

 Now...

Decision time.

Do I continue blogging?

Yes.

Sometimes it seems that I have diarrhea of the mouth when people want to dialog about homeschooling.  I get homeschooling.  I live it.  And, I like sharing about it and how it's woven into our family's story.

So the story continues.

Time to...
1.  Order a hard copy or digital version of my blog.  It's my family scrapbook for the year!
2.   Get to know my fellow bloggers better!

Would you share a comment about yourself, your family, your blog?  Or all of the above?

  1. I'm glad that you're continuing to blog. You've been passing on very sound advice, which I for one really appreciate. We're wrapping up our fourth year of homeschooling, and my kids are now 12, 8, and 6. It's good to hear from people with older kids what to expect and prepare for.

  2. Wow! He did a great job on the photos! Your blonde cuties made for easy subjects for him. Love it!

  3. What beautiful pictures of your kids! I stink at having that done. The ones on our wall are at least 2 years old....bad mom.

Anyway, I only have 2 kids, so our experience of homeschooling is probably quite different, but I seem to stay busy enough! I'm coming up on a year of blogging too, so I'm trying to decide if I'm going to keep at it or not. I guess it scratches an itch for me, but it does take time, and it doesn't make any money....

My husband and I have been married 12 years, but we're kind of late bloomers! Never expected a husband or children, so I feel very blessed. We live in a small town in Minnesota, and I just couldn't be happier than to stay home with my boys each day. I used to be a teacher, so homeschooling is a good fit for me.

I guess that's it. I hope to hear from you again down the road, now that you've decided to continue blogging! Thanks from visiting me!

  4. Michelle, Thanks for introducing yourself to me! My husband and I are late bloomers as far as kids go. We were both married before and we didn't start having kids until our 30's. I sometimes say that I'm having my own grandkids!

I know what you mean about the blog taking time...like right now! But, I keep seeing people recommending on their posts to keep writing....everyone has something to say. I think it takes prayer to figure it out.

Some people blog once a week or three times a week or something, so that they aren't blogging everyday. I'm considering something like that.

Talk to you later, I hope!

  5. Your kids are so beautiful! Love the school pics. I've actually never done that, shame on me. I'll have to start now!

    1. You can take your own school pictures of your kids, or even ask a friend. I just have a hard time getting good pictures with my little digital camera. I get school pictures when I find a good deal- not every year. I've found some homeschoolers with photography businesses who give discounts to homeschoolers.
